TPES receives 1000 free school supplies By: Maribel A. Tesoro
Hands- On Manila Foundation, Incorporated and Visa Philippines donated 1,000 school supplies for some school children of Timoteo Paez Elementary School from Grade I –VI last June 13, 2017 at nine o’clock in the morning which was held at the school covered court.
The activity of giving the free school supplies was a part of the pledge of the foundation during the Brigada Eskwela and were led by the Personnels VISA Philippines to the School Principal, Mrs. Glenda D. Tabaquirao , Mrs. Maripaz Mendoza– EPS Science, Master Teachers and Mrs. Christine S. Esteban, Chairman of Brigada Eskwela 2017.
Papers, pencils, notebooks, erasers, crayons, etc. was a great help to the parents who can barely afford the food, and the other primary needs of the family. Additional expenses for the school supplies seemed to be a luxury. Giving these children the tools they need is just only the beginning. With this help, they can build the foundation of the children to grow, learn and thrive. By giving the children the school kit, they are not only provided with stationery and pencils, hence they are ensuring the children to pursue a better future.
Smiles on the faces of the children meant a lot of promise that studying won’t be a burden as there were initially provided by people who really care.
