Hundreds of parents of Incoming Kinder, Grade One, Three, and Six pupils attended the TPES’ First General Assembly for S.Y. 2019-2020 last June 1, 9:00 AM at TPES Covered Court.
The General Assembly started with a doxology, followed by the singing of the Philippine National Anthem, and the Pasay City Hymn. TPES school head Mrs. Glenda D. Tabaquirao – Principal IV opened the program by welcoming the parents and by thanking them for their contribution and support during the recently concluded Brigada Eskwela. For parents to get to know the TPES Faculty better, Master Teachers presented their Teachers from Kinder, Grade One, Three, and Six.
Afterwards, Mrs. Tabaquirao discussed the School Report Card – a compilation of the records and reports of TPES in the past three school years. Some of the topics discussed include the school enrolment, drop-outs, completers, implemented programs, and school funding. Mrs. Tabaquirao also highlighted the importance of the support from parents and follow-ups done at home, as she believes that teachers and parents go hand in hand in every child’s educational success.
“Aside from Kinder, Grades One to Six, ALS (Alternative Learning System), Special Science Classes, and ALIVE (Arabic Language and Islamic Values Education), we now cater to learners with special needs as we open the enrolment for SpEd this coming school year. Because of these steps, I can now say that TPES is leaning closer towards DepEd’s vision in offering a complete basic education,” Mrs. Tabaquirao announced to parents.
The event ended after the closing remarks of Mrs. Sailey R. Magallano – Master Teacher II, who, as a parent herself, stressed the importance of attending school meetings to get more involved with his/her child’s education.
The same order of events took place in the afternoon session at 1:00 PM with the parents of incoming Kinder, Grade Two, Four, and Five pupils.
