Timoteo Paez Elementary School’s Family Fun Day in Grade 2, sparks up the excitement of the children and parents as everyone are in a positive mood. Mrs. Glenda D. Tabaquirao together with the Grade 2 Master Teacher Miss Rosemarie J. Fariñas and the teachers, led the program with optimism that the family relationship will give more time for them to have a good bond. This Family Fun Day is mandated by the Department of Education as a family involvement with the parents and their children in the school. Teachers and parents work collaboratively to come up with the best idea of decorations that makes the stage colorful and attractive. The electrifying dance presentations of each team made the event alive and rejuvenated. Since Filipinos like celebrations, it is very important for the Filipino Family members to be present during special occasion. While the Filipino Family is tied by blood, we have a strong sense of community. Even with the changing times we never forget to go back to our roots and spend time with the family that cared for and nurtured us. We may not have the perfect family in the world, but with the tight family bond, we have the strength to faces the challenges ahead of us. A family is the only rock that stays together and the institutions that works with unity and respect.
