A beautiful smile opens doors of opportunities. It can brightens any one’s day. One of Timoteo Paez Elementary School concerns is the oral health that is why they adopted Bright Smiles, Bright Future Program in partnership with Colgate Philippines that also aims to improve the oral health of children not only here in Pasay but also all over the Philippines.
Last November 10, 2017, Bright Smile, Bright Future Program went to TPES to provide oral health education to children. There were 575 participants from Kindergarten and Grade One. The program started at 8:00 am. Pre-deployment briefing was conducted first before the volunteers from Colgate Company were deployed in every classrooms. The volunteers gave orientation to children on the proper way of tooth brushing and the benefits that they can get from it. After the orientation, they distributed the tooth brushing kit and conducted tooth brushing drill. Distribution of gift packs was followed. Children assembled at school gym to watch the program prepared by Colgate.
One of the highlights of the program was the puppet show. Children were amazed with the different shows and tricks that were presented.
Mr. Bong David, representative from Colgate Philippines was quoted saying, “ It is the advocacy of Colgate Philippines to help all youth specifically in taking care of their teeth and exercise oral health awareness not only in schools, in Pasay, but also all over the Philippines. A simple way of taking care of our teeth is brushing them three times a day after meal.”
A certificate of appreciation was given to Colgate Philippines family for their effort in adopting our school as one of the recipient of the bright smile, bright future program. In behalf of our school Principal Mrs. Glenda D. Tabaquirao, Mrs. Jessica L. Madronio the OIC for the day gave her message to everybody.
