    The Binhi Foundation’s Teacher’s Training event was a huge success! It took place on October 4, 2025, at Legazpi Village, Makati City. The event brought together dedicated TPES reading teachers, all eager to enhance their skills and empower themselves with the latest techniques in teaching reading.

    The spotlight speaker, Ms. Rizalina Labanda, VP for Training and Research at AFTA Inc. and a proud member of the Reading League, took the stage to share her expertise on the Science of Reading (SOR) and Structured Literacy. With her engaging presentation, she shed light on the importance of evidence-based reading instruction and provided practical strategies for teachers to incorporate SOR and Structured Literacy into their daily teaching practices.

    Throughout the training, Ms. Labanda emphasized the significance of understanding the underlying principles of reading and how to effectively structure literacy instruction to meet the diverse needs of students. The TPES reading teachers were fully engaged, taking notes and participating in lively discussions, eager to apply their newfound knowledge to make a lasting impact on their students’ reading journeys.
